Friendly Remiders

Snow season

According to Punxsutawney Phil we still have a few more weeks of winter, so the Borough Office has a few friendly reminders. In the event of a snowstorm property owners are reminded to clear their sidewalk areas within 24 hours of when the snow stops. Also, water meters can freeze in colder temperatures, please ensure that your water meter is insulated and in an area that the temperature is kept above freezing. When water meters freeze, they break and can cause additional damage/expense for the homeowner.

Borough Office Staff Training

During the month of February, the Borough Office staff will be holding trainings on Fridays. On those days, the office will be closed to the public. Harriet Lane Award

The Borough Office is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Harriet Lane Award. Each year, the Borough of Mercersburg presents an award to a person/group for their outstanding service to the community. The recipient(s) can reside in Mercersburg or the surrounding area. Please submit your nomination today.
