2026 Bulk Items Collection Day

Saturday, October 17th

8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Drop-off location is 231 Oregon Street, at the entrance to Johnston’s Run Walking Trail.

Items must be delivered to the site. There will be no curbside pick-up.

This collection applies only to Borough of Mercersburg residents.

Residents will be required to show a photo ID or a copy of your water/sewer bill as a form of identification.

The following are acceptable bulky items:

  • Furniture such as chairs, dressers, tables, desks, etc.
  • Sofas, Sleeper Sofas
  • Mattresses, Box Springs
  • Bikes
  • Swing Sets (broken down)
  • Basketball Hoops
  • Grills (propane removed)
  • Carpet
  • Swimming Pools
  • Trampolines (broken down)
  • Small Appliances (no Freon) including microwaves, toasters, etc.

The following will NOT be accepted:

  • Liquids such as motor oil, gasoline, or wet paint.
  • Electronics such as TV's, computer monitors, or anything with a screen larger than four

(4) inches.

  • Items containing Freon such as refrigerators, air conditioning units, dehumidifiers, or water coolers.
  • Construction debris such as concrete, demolition materials, wood, shingles, siding, etc.
  • Yard waste.
  • Hazardous materials.
  • Tires or car batteries.

THIS WILL BE THE ONLY BULK ITEMS COLLECTION DAY FOR 2026.
