Street Light Outage - How to Report

If you notice a streetlight that is out, flickering, or damaged, you can report the issue directly to West Penn Power through FirstEnergy.

How to Report

Online:
Complete the FirstEnergy Streetlight Problem Form to submit the location and details of the problem.

By Phone:
Call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877). After the automated greeting, say “streetlight” to be directed to the appropriate reporting option.

Information to Provide

When reporting a streetlight issue, please have the following information available:

• Pole number – Located on a tag or marking on the utility pole.
• Exact location – Provide the address, or the nearest house/business address and cross street.
• Description of the problem – For example, the light is out, flickering, or the pole or fixture is damaged.
• Contact information – Your name and phone number.

Hazardous Situations

Do not use the online form if the streetlight presents an immediate safety hazard.

For situations involving broken glass or lenses, unstable fixtures, exposed wires, or a damaged, leaning, or fallen pole, call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) immediately.
