Public Notification – MWA Monitoring Violation

There is no current action on the part of Mercersburg Water Authority (MWA) customers. This notice is provided to ensure MWA customers are aware there were monitoring violations that occurred in 2025 and Q1 2026. The 2025 violations are published in MWA’s 2025 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) (page 5). The 2025 CCR report is available on the Borough’s Website. Alternately, a hard copy is available for review in the Borough Office. The 2026 violation will be published in the 2026 report. These monitoring violations were the result of reporting and sampling issues with a third-party laboratory. The MWA has transitioned to a new laboratory service provider.
