Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Do you want a direct voice in the decisions that impact our local environment, health, and daily life?
The Borough of Mercersburg is currently seeking civic-minded residents to step forward and fill open volunteer seats on both the Mercersburg Water Authority and the Mercersburg Sewer Authority.
These authorities play a fundamental role in maintaining our local infrastructure, protecting our natural resources, and managing the vital systems that every home and business relies on. Serving on a board isn’t just about oversight—it’s about community involvement, collaboration, and ensuring a sustainable, healthy future for Mercersburg.
Why Your Voice Matters
- Direct Local Impact: Influence critical decisions regarding municipal infrastructure, sustainability projects, and resource management.
- Civic Partnership: Collaborate with fellow residents, neighbors, and Borough leadership to solve real-world problems.
- Community Legacy: Help steer long-term planning efforts that will protect and improve the quality of life in our historic town for generations to come.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for a seat on either authority, applicants must be residents of Mercersburg Borough who are eager to commit their time, unique perspectives, and energy to municipal service. No specific background in engineering or utility management is required—just a willingness to learn, collaborate, and serve your community.
