The Mercersburg Water Authority encourages all customers to inspect their water pipes, including fire protection systems. If pipes were frozen during the recent extremely cold temperatures the warmer temperatures may thaw these frozen pipes potentially causing leaks.

We encourage all customers to check their residence/business routinely and to locate their main water shut-off valve.

The Planning Commission Meeting that was scheduled for February 18, 2026 has been canceled.

Borough Office will be closed Monday, February 16 in observance of President's Day.

Mercersburg Water Customers:

The Mercersburg Water Authority Operations Team has recognized heavier than normal water demand in the last hour. This unusually high demand can indicate a leak in the system. 

Currently our teams are trying to locate any visible evidence of a leak. This effort is hampered by snow cover.
